Establishing Multidimensional Transient Stability Boundaries for Power Systems with Uncertainties

This paper will present a computational technique to identify the region of attraction for transient stability analysis in power systems with uncertainty and high-dimensionality. This will subsequently be translated to a number of established transient stability indices in order to establish the multi-dimensional stability boundary. This technique relies on post-fault trajectory of rotor angle with respect to rotor speed and convergence of these dynamic variables. The advantage of this technique is its simplicity to implement and high accuracy. To verify performance of the proposed tool, NETS-NYPS 68-Bus test system is used.
