A Hybrid Simulation Tool for Distributed Generation Integration Studies

This work will present a hybrid simulation tool thats combine fast analysis of quasi-static electric models and electromagnetic transients models to find more fast and accurate results. The interaction between the two programs are carried on by controllable current and voltage sources which are used to represent the external and the detailed systems, respectively. A Intranet Server by means of a TCP/IP protocol controls the data transaction between the simulation environments. The proposed tool will be used here to simulate the integration of different types of distributed generation systems into a 13-bus distribution network.
